If you are looking to deal with a wide range of insect pests, K9 Advantix for dogs might be the right choice of canine flea treatment.  If you want to keep costs down, choose Generic Advantix rather than the branded version.  Both do exactly the same, and contain the same volume of the same active ingredient.  The difference is that one is produced by Bayer and has a hefty price-tag, while the other is produced by a less well known manufacturer and is extremely cheap.

1. As far as fleas are concerned, Advantix has a two pronged approach.  Firstly adult fleas are killed (nearly all will be destroyed within twelve hours of applying the drops).  Secondly flea larvae are also killed (usually within around twenty minutes).  This means that both future flea generations, and the current biting pests are dealt with extremely quickly.  In addition any new fleas that meet your pet are deterred from biting the animal due to the presence of Advantix (should they persist the flea medicine will destroy them too).
2. Ticks are notoriously difficult to combat, but Advantix manages to deal with these too.  Any ticks already on your dog will slowly be killed by the drops (usually within twelve hours).  Any new ticks which meet your pet are repelled from attaching themselves.  This can be a little worrying at first, as dogs in tick infested areas may appear to have ticks on them even though you have applied Advantix.  But look a little closer and you will see they have not attached themselves to your pet and will quickly drop off.
3. Mosquitoes are repelled from dogs that have Advantix flea medicine applied.  Any that do persist are destroyed by the medicine, so helping reduce the risk of passing on infectious diseases.
4. Biting flies are repelled by Advantix so your pet should have far less stress and bother from these nasty flying pests.
5. Chewing lice that can cause sarcoptic mange with serious skin infections and irritation are killed by Advantix flea drops.
