Bike fanatics always have the right biker patches sewn on their leather jackets and other pieces of clothing. Bikers typically use a biker patch to advertise his or her group or club affiliation. Others simply like the overall look or message depicted by the patch. In many ways, patches are fashion statements because they typically contain a unique image or phrase that is quite fashionable and edgy.
Patches are available in many different sizes. The small ones will easily fit on the hat or vest while larger patches are best when attached to a jacket or shirt. There are also many styles of patches to choose from. Some biker back patches have only graphics while others have words, phrases, or messages only. There are also many that contain a combination of words and images. Whatever the message may be, most patches can be seen very clearly regardless of where you may be wearing it. Many come with catchy or fun messages such as “I am the fairest of them all,” yet there are also many that contain a serious political message such as “We want peace in Iraq.” Some are used to showcase religious beliefs in their messages like, “I am 100% saved and seriously going to heaven.” while others are used to just pass casual messages like, “I love this t-shirt it is actually my Sunday best.”
Some patches do pass ideological messages and they are used by people who believe in non-conformity and freedom. Such patches are known as outlaw or club patches. The people who use these patches typically belong to a biker group like Mongols or Harley Davidson. Harley Davidson patches, t-shirts and other accessories are, as a matter of fact, popular among fashionable people who may or may not be associated with a biker group or club.
Despite the many advantages of embroidered biker patches, having some particular patches especially those used by some biking communities can come with a stigma. Some people tend to associate such biking groups with lawlessness. However, a great majority of people who wear biker patches, don’t even own a motorcycle. They wear them simply because they like the way the patch looks. Many modern patches are actually quite fashionable and enjoyed by all kinds of people from all over the world. The same can be said for just about all kinds of biker jewelry, clothing, and accessory items. If you like it, wear it!
