Jamming With The Paper Jamz Guitar

Paper Jamz guitars are the new alternative to guitar playing.  Created by Woo Wee, Paper Jamz specializes in musical instruments and is known for their cardboard front, stringless guitar.  This guitar can be played like an electrical guitar, but without the cost. With four different modes, kids can have hours of fun.

One mode is the ‘perfect play’. Here they can play with one of the three preloaded songs on the guitar. The objective is to play the notes perfectly as the song is being played.  Another mode is the ‘rhythm play’. Here the person can control the rhythm of the song, changing the speed from fast to slow. In ‘freestyle play’ one can play as if it is a real guitar. They can make up cords and even create their own songs. And the final is the ‘karaoke’ mode. Here one can play to any of the three songs and still jam out without having to get the cords right.

The guitar works by strumming your fingers over the cardboard, which looks like the strings on a guitar.  The sensors are located in the cardboard where the strings of an actual guitar would be.  Strumming these fake strings makes the sounds of actual strings on a guitar as if you are truly playing one.

These Paper Jamz guitars have been a huge success with children of all ages and are expected to be one of the top toys for Christmas 2010. However, while Paper Jamz guitars are meant for kids 8 and plus, younger kids have also been jamming out to these addictive instruments.

The guitars can be found at more than 7,500 locations across the country and usually cost about $24.99.  Because there are no actual strings, this guitar is easy to learn and great for beginners trying to learn or for kids with free time and lots of energy.

One can even purchase amps for the guitar. These are also sold by Paper Jamz and can be found at most retailers as well. These amps boost the sounds for the guitar and other Paper Jamz products at the cost of $14.99. Also one can buy the straps for the Paper Jamz for $5.99. It allows for the child to strap the guitar around their body so they can be played easier.

Paper Jamz guitars are a fun, enteraining way to keep kids entertained and learning. And by rocking out to a cardboard guitar, perhaps one day, they will be able to strum along to the real thing.
