The biggest name in pet fountains is Drinkwell, and they have a fountain that will fit most situations. Some pet owners are more concerned with how a fountain looks in their home than how much it holds or how it works. Ideally though, both of those concerns can be met with the right choice in fountain.

The original Drinkwell fountain is called, well, the Original Drinkwell Pet Fountain. Pretty creative name, right? Well when it was first on the market it was just the pet fountain, but as the line of available fountains grew there was a need for this one to have a name of its own. The oroginal fountain featured the patented 5 inch falling stream of water that is a staple on all the drinkwell fountains. Dogs and cats love to drink from moving, falling water. it just seems to be something instinctual an if offered this type of water or a bowl of standing water, they will choose the moving water every time.

The Drinkwell Platinum fountain was the next in line after the Original. These devices look a lot alike, but the Platinum features a larger capacity which makes your life easier. Most parts of the Platinum are dishwasher safe, which also makes your life easier. Both of these models operate with a small pump that moves water through a charcoal filter and up through the fountain where it falls in that 5 inch stream we talked about.

Since some of our pets can get to be pretty large, and your basic fountain is just not enough for a large dog, Drinkwell came up with the Big Dog pet fountain. This large fountain si made to stand up to the abuse a large dog can dish out during the course of normal use. The capacity is extra large, as is the fountain itself. The big dog fountain is one of the most popular of all in the Drinkwell Pet Fountain line.

Whichever pet water fountain you choose, make sure you take a look at the complete line of Drinkwell fountains. The y come with a full manufacturers warranty, and the excellent customer service that Drinkwell has become known for. The addition of the right fountain will make your life easier at the same time it is making your pet healthier. Both dogs and cats can suffer from urinary tract infections and they are usually a direct result of not drinking enough water. The addition of a fountain for your pet is sure to eliminate this issue. In addition to making your pet healthier, this can save you a lot of money in the long run.

The vast majority of dog owners take pleasure in treating their canine friend as an honorary member of the family. Sometimes they even get treated better then the kids, especially if you are lucky enough to have one of those dogs that always does what its told. It makes sense therefore to purchase the very best dog bed you can find, how could you possibly deny Rex the right to lay down on the most comfortable bedding available after a hard day chasing rabbits and growling at everything that moves?

A thermostatically controlled heat is the perfect thing to give the rest they deserve, especially if your dog is starting to get on in years. Dogs may have a greater tolerance for pain than humans but they still feel pain and they feel it more as they start to age. If you live in a colder climate a heat dog bed will be an almost essential purchase for an older pet, especially if they are relegated to sleeping in a colder part of your house.

You’ll be no stranger to your local pet shop so you are no doubt familiar with heated dog beds as they are a pretty popular item these days as more of us pamper our pets. If you are wanting to find the a better range and perhaps find something at a lower price then you might consider shopping online rather than locally. As long as you carefully measure your dog to ensure you get the right size then there really are no downsides to making a purchase this way. You’ll probably save yourself some money and you can have your perfect dog bed delivered to your front door.

I love having a cat to keep me company at home but what i don’t love is the fleas that my furry friend sometimes brings into our shared living area. Thankfully these days there are options available to us to help eradicate this pest but that doesn’t make it any less annoying when they turn up.

Your pet’s blood is the food that these fleas like to fest on so its likely if you have a pet you are going to have this problem at one time or another so it makes sense to get the knowledge required to deal with it when it turns up. I can tell you that the first time I had a problem I don’t even know what is was to begin with and it took a lot of trial and error to get things back to normal. And apart from the annoyance they present for us humans they are even worse for our pets. If you don’t deal with them their blood sucking ways will have a detrimental effect on your cat or dogs health and there is even the chance they will put your pet’s life at risk.

Its your responsibility to ensure that your pet is, and remains flea free. Not an easy task by any means but possible if you are vigilant.

One of the best methods available in the fight for flea freedom is the flea bomb which is a chemicals product which will stop your flea problem dead and will continue to be effective for up to six months. If all goes well this product will work against not just adult fleas but will also attack eggs and larvae. As an added bonus you will find that a flea bomb will also eliminate cockroaches and mosquitoes if you are unfortunate enough to have a problem with them as well.

I won’t go into the instructions for using a flea bomb effectively as any product will give you a full run down of what is required on the back of the pack. Just be aware that you will need to vacate your premise initially after using there products as the chemical they contain is detrimental to human health during the fogging process.
